JOURNAL

When I was 5, my mom gave me my first diary and was taught to write in it every night before going to sleep. To this day, I haven't stopped handwriting my personal thoughts, stories, and self-reflections in my journal.

This is a place for me to share what I find beautiful in my adventures, what makes me excited and passionate, and all the lessons I learn along the way.

California Youth

Fiona Yeung

I recently visited Orange County over my reading break (one week break during midterms) to visit my boyfriend Eric and to get away from the freezing weather here in Toronto. By now, I've visited the OC several times so I felt pretty local there, and less like a tourist. I had so much fun visiting the beaches in Laguna as well as exploring parts of LA. If I had to sum up my trip in a few words, it would be: beaches, lazy days in bed, laughter, and lots of good food.

The Getty museum in LA was absolutely beautiful. I loved the architecture there and all the outdoor terraces. It was my first time visiting this museum and I highly recommend it (plus it's free to get in!) It took a little bit of convincing but I managed to get Eric to sketch some artwork with me. We also stopped by LACMA to take some pictures with the Urban Lights.

I'm not sure if it's because I don't live in SoCal but all the places I visited seem way cooler and more hip than Toronto which makes me so excited (and still in shock) that I'll be moving to California to live permanently in just a few months.

Time to plan my next trip! #jetsetfifi
